If you’ve used any WebKit-based browser for an extended period of time, you notice that these browsers provide the ability to resize textareas that can ultimately override any CSS included on the page.
From a usability standpoint, this is nice but there are times where it may affect the look and feel of the site. Thanks to CSS3, it’s possible to prevent this.
Assuming that you have a textarea with the ID of ‘textBox,’ include the following line in your CSS:
[cc lang=”css”]
#textBox { resize: none; }
[/cc]
And done. Easy enough, right?
The thing to remember is that this will invalidate your CSS so consider that before implementing this.
