Depending on what framework you’ve been building your latest project on, including support for email may or may not be much of a challenge.
John mentioned Postmark on ChurchIT and if you’re looking for an integrated email option that provides reader tracking, traffic statistics, and a solid backbone, Postmark is worth a look.
But what I found impressive was just how developer-friendly the service is out-of-the-box.
They’ve got slick pre-built libraries for all of the major platforms, too:
Of course, if your current language and/or framework of choice isn’t supported, you can always roll your own.
Finally, considering Postmark is an email analytics service, it would make sense that your statistical data would be available for reading, too. The Bounce Retrieval API is setup for exactly that. Simply create a GET request with the necessary token and you’re good to go.
Personally, I’m really interested in this.
