Here’s a handy tip that I just found. There are a multitude of ways to redirect your WordPress blog temporarily for maintenance. But I recently found myself in a situation where a client needed to be redirected to another site, not just to a holder page (like most plugins do).
Here are the steps:
header( 'Location: http://www.redirectedSite.com' ) ;
Now your WordPress blog should be forwarding to the new location when you’re not logged in, but staying on your site when you do login.

The other night I was making some .htaccess tweaks on a site for one of my clients. I was using my families blog to “test” the hacks. My poor wife has to put-up with these kind of things at night, while she’s trying to post. This isn’t always a safe thing to do from a marriage point of view.

As you know in a recent update WordPress released Post Formats as part of their framework. This will allow developers who create WordPress themes to also include Tumblr-style post formats within their CSS Style.
