SkyBlueCanvas – Lightweight, Open Source CMS
SkyBlueCanvas is a lightweight, open source CMS written in PHP that is specifically built for small sites.
If a robust system like Joomla, WordPress or Drupal are too hefty, this is when you grab a lightweight CMS like SkyBlueCanvas. However, don’t confuse “lightweight” with “simple”. This CMS includes many of the basic abilities a more robust system has, like plugin API, extensions, and theme-ability.
Like most CMS’s, if you can use a word processor then you can update your website.

Amazon Easter Eggs
As we all know, Amazon.com is pretty much the ultimate resource and makes shopping so simple. In fact, last Christmas I didn’t buy a single present from the shops. I got every single one off Amazon. Having them delivered to your door, not having to deal with the hundreds of other shoppers are all huge plus points, but clearly the biggest one is that most of the time it’s cheaper, too.
That is, most of the time.
I discovered my easter egg on Amazon this year, (and I mean the geeky kind, not the chocolate kind) but it certainly wasn’t cheap.
New Priority Inbox Feature for Gmail
It wasn’t too long ago that Google Gmail was still considered “beta”. It was in a beta state so long, it was almost funny. I’m not sure how long Google has had Gmail out of beta, but they have really been adding some nice features.
I’ve loved the Labels feature for a while. It’s like folders in Outlook, but better! The ability to apply multiple labels to a single email makes looking for “that one email from a while back” a whole lot easier.
At the same time, the release of the Priority Inbox feature was a flop for me (unless I become more popular or something), while others loved it.
New features are always nice and the new Gmail feature I woke-up to this morning looks very promising.
