It’s hardly a surprise when we see “Big Brother” peering over the shoulder of citizens in communist countries.
In countries like China and India, smartphones are not safe from the government’s prying eyes, and they are being used to track the movement of citizens.
Double whammy.
In the United States, and most Western cultures, the concept of personal privacy is high enough to consider data and information on a smartphone as – private. Private enough to legally keep out of governmental authorities view, unless there is a court order or part of a broader scheme of illegal activity.
Imagine if your local police scanned your iPhone as part of a routine traffic stop.
Strike that – there’s no need to imagine such activity, it’s happening in the State of Michigan.

Yesterday Andrew Garcia took a flight with missionary pilot Matt Allen to visit some villagers in a remote area. The trip was part of a film that he is producing about missions.
There is some pretty special footage in there, and quite simply, it’s just an amazing personal experience to get a look into.
From the Vimeo video page:
Yesterday we took off from Mt. Hagen with missionary pilot Matt Allen and flew above the surrounding mountains, canyons and rivers. We took some great aerial landscape shots as well as some air-to-air shots of Matt Allen’s plane in flight. We landed at a grass airstrip in the middle of nowhere. It was a 22 minute flight, but for the local villagers it was a 6 day walk to the nearest road. At the landing strip we got some shots of Matt’s plane taking off and landing. It was an incredible day of shooting.

Elvanto has taken their volunteer management and church roster system and taken it to an entirely new level.
With their newest features, they’ve moved from being a “pretty decent player” to a “major player”.
They’ve been working hard the past few months and it shows.
On the surface, it simply looks like they gave it a face-lift. After all, they’ve added more color and made it easy on the eyes, but there’s much richer changes when you dig a little deeper.
