You know, just seeing this particular job posting is quite telling about where we're headed in our Christian culture. It's pretty amazing to think about the fact that not one line of that description would have made sense at all in, say, 1988 or so. I'd apply, but I'm exactly where God called me to be at the moment. Cool stuff though.

wow…I'll have to pray for them to find someone awesome
Phillip Gibb says
oh darn it. I don't have an iPhone
Graham Brenna says
me neither… we must not be cool. (I think BlackBerries are cool) haha

I'm biased, but I'm surprised the LCTV doensn't include any references to theological positions, education, etc. I am a huge fan of LifeChurch.tv, LiquidChurch.com, etc and one of the consistent criticisms is that Church Online sacrifices biblical foundations for mass media / broad spectrum reach.
As a marketer I understand that LCTV probably wants to field the biggest pool of applicants and *then* they can sift through and prioritize any attributes that come-up, not in the original job description. But posting a public job posting like this also sends a message our to the seekers/secular culture that have a little more skeptical view of the Church (with a capital C). I would love to have LCTV link to their http://www.lifechurch.tv/believe page or the ECC denominational pages, etc. Yes, I know, there is a post-denominational and anti-bueracractic thrust for the Churches that are positioned for the next century — but with some acknowledgement that this posting is semi-public, the staff at Life Church might want to bolder in their theological identity/requirements "on paper" (I"m not questioning Pastor Craig/Brandon/Tony/etc themselves or their church in reality) for the pastoral staff.

But it would be an awesome job and I look forward to connecting with whomever fills those shoes. I'm hoping to do a lot of things listed in the LCTV posting with the iCampus at http://internetcampus.liquidchurch.com this summer. The team at Liquid is integrating blog-squad, facebook teams, etc. to extend the reach and further their vision for "taking church to the people."

I really like this description! I like that they basically wrote their next employee's twitter description. That's awesome… Would rock if you use an iPhone! haha… that says something right there. You've gotta be tech savvy! I hope to someday qualify for this job!
