One page websites can be very effective.
You can use them as online business cards, a product page or use one page for your entire website.
Are you in the market for a one page website?
Before you answer, consider some of the benefits:
They Work
The Internet attention span isn’t the greatest, so when you have it, leave your mark. One page websites push only the most important things you want to get noticed.
A one page website is about making eye contact, saying “hello” and having a firm handshake.
That’s it.
If they want to know more about you or hear what you have to say, they’ll click.
Easy to Navigate
It’s easy to navigate, since they’re usually nothing to navigate to. What you see is what you get.
The only “navigation” are links that take them past that first “handshake.”
- Social networks
- Blog
Clearly Communicates
Keep your one page simple. It should clearly communicate what you’re selling or who you are.
Remember, you only have a few seconds to get your point across. A one page website is a great way to communicate without the usual website clutter.
Good Strategy
There are three strategic reasons to consider a one page website:
- It helps you control your online brand.
- Instead of relying on one web property, you have two. More SEO!
- Sets you further apart from everyone, else.
Are You Ready?
If you already have a website, chances are the only thing a one page website is going to cost you is the domain name and the time to build it (find a free one page template here).
If you don’t have much information, consider building a one page site for your primary website. Why force users to use a menu and wait for a page to load, just so they can read your about page?
If you have a lot of information, consider building a one page site. You’ve got a lot to say, so don’t overwhelm people. Create a solid “handshake” page.

Options like zerply, wix, flavors etc. could also work. Would still need the domain name though.

Why don’t you simply forward the domain to the your About.me or Flavours.me profile
Gangai Victor says
Yup, that’s what I meant.
