Remember the first time you jumped “online”? Remember how exciting that was? Remember how you’d wait anxiously to see if you had any new mail and that the best thing that could have happened that day was to hear “You’ve Got Mail?”
It was a world where you didn’t really worry about being theologically correct or making sure that your blog posts were “biblical” in content and message. It was a time where you really enjoyed those interactions with other people and where you wanted people to know you were online instead of trying to go “invisible” so that people wouldn’t bother you.
Man, times have changed. All that cybernetting has gotten us down…!

I still have that excitement and joy of the Internet. My friends and I started messing with computers a little more than 10 years ago and they have all lost interest, but my interest grows every day! It really helps me look up specific things that interest me and the curiosity has never dimmed. I always have a list of stuff I want to look up. (hence my user name twitter.com/wendywhy 🙂

One of my first real experiences with the internet was napster
I remember setting up all these downloads for over night because we had a 56K connection and waking up in the morning to discover the goodness that was going to be had that day listening to a new hoobastank album or whoever else.
Also, I remember playing counter-strike for hours upon hours

1995. I remember listening to an Internet broadcast from Europe. I knew what radio was. I knew what tv was. How was this possible? I yelled to my wife, "Honey, you're not going to believe this." She shrugged.
1996, Boston MA. 1st Internet symposium. There was all this talk about mobile Internet. Yeah, right? Not in our lifetime, I thought.
Yes, the Internet is amazing. It's technology, at a whole 'nutha level. In the end, though, it's just a tool, isn't it?

Haha…oh man, I didn't realize the title of the post was a line from the video….I love when the blond guy cuts off the girl talking about emails being translated.
I had to watch "You've Got Mail" with my GF a while ago. Even though I thought it was a lame Chick-flick, it was pretty entertaining to see how far we've come on the web…
