The ministry of 78p.tv is to help the church become more effective with technology so that they can do more, better. While we are here to serve the whole church, I personally have a soft spot in my heart for youth ministry has I have dedicated over ten years of my life to it. So when I heard that there would be a podcast coming for youth ministry and from my good friend Kolby Milton over at YouthMinistryMedia.ca, I knew I had to jump onboard. Here are the details about his podcast that you need to check out!
- Where It Was Born From
The title of it is The Digital Youth Ministry Podcast and you can actually subscribe to it through iTunes right here. The idea is that youth ministry is lagging behind the teen digital culture and so this podcast is to be available to you in audio only as something you can listen to while working out, driving, or any of your other dead space. - Why You Want To Tune In
Not only will this be two guys that are currently in ministry, using technology to engage with students, and showing you how their ministry is actually doing it, they will be going on tour to engage with many youth workers to talk about many different settings. - How To Interact
A podcast that just talks at you is not worth listening to and Kolby has two ways for you to be able to interact with his podcast. The first option is to comment on his blog post that is introducing you to the topic and that he will read on the podcast. The next option will be a future phone number that you can call in and leave your comment or question for him to play on air.
Who Is Kolby?
Here are some content from Kolby online.
- Finding Your Voice In Youth Ministry
How can you preach your message and not mimic those that you have learned from? - Starbucks For Free
Note that the Starbucks card is empty, but this is not the only card that will be popping up on his website. - Social Media Ettiquette
Social media is unfortunately host to too many fights and so Kolby has a couple of tips for people to engage with people better online.
