Notebooks and I go way back, and I’ve told you all this before so let’s skip the human interest angle and get right to the business because I’ve got a new notebook to share with you.
The MONT Notebook is being billed at the “Most Featured Featured Notebook Ever,” and I think I’m convinced. Just look at this handy little diagram:
Still not convinced? Here’s a trailer—I love that notebooks have trailers!—that will surely convince you.

There are three levels of notebooks: the Beginner, the Dreamer, and the Elite. The Elite obviously has the most to offer, but all three notebooks include a variety of paper styles (lined, cartesian graph, isometric graph, gridded, dot, blank, perforated, colored, and whiteboard). Both the Dreamer and Elite notebooks contain and ultra thin calculator and USB drive (8GB, Elite/4GB Dreamer), while the Elite obviously has a few extra features including a 2-in-1 pen highlighter designed to fit snuggly inside the binding of the notebook.
Now, let’s talk for a minute about prices. If you act now, you can back the MONT Notebook Kickstarter (already fully funded) and get your choice of notebook at a serious discount. Can’t afford a full notebook, even with a discount? There are low-cost options for you, with rewards that include digital copies of the notebooks’ planner section or a flipbook version, but there are also ways to get your copy of MONT and/or some additional swag for free. One backer referral will get you the 2-in-1 pen, two will get you the pen and the slim calculator, and so on and so on. Here’s a nifty charter that might help.
And here’s a chart that explains how some slick social media sharing can set you up.
One share can get you the PDF version of the planner, which is a bit standard with notebook/planner projects, but what isn’t standard at all is that you can actually earn that sweet 2-in-1 pen for four social media shares. It couldn’t be more simple.
But maybe one more look at the MONT will tempt you to open your wallet a bit wider?
Now, maybe you’re wondering why I’m making such a strong pitch for this notebook? It’s because I love notebooks just that much and want to encourage, support, and embolden as much innovation in the field as I can.
You see, I envision a future where my notebook will consist of maybe thirty sheets of e-ink paper that I can write on with an ergonomic stylus and then transfer all of that writing/sketching seamlessly to my laptop top, sending it through a bit of OCR software in the process, if I choose. And I want this notebook ensconced in leather, but I need it to be lighter than my iPad.
Are were there yet? No, but the MONT, with it’s built-in USB, is one more step in the right direction.
Bipin Daniel, co-founder of MintMug Products, calls the MONT the “Swiss Knife of the Notebook World,” and I’m inclined to agree. There are a ton more details about the MONT on the Kickstarter page that I haven’t even begun to get into, so please don’t take this post as the last word on this amazing new product.
Listen to the internet, if you’d like, which saw fit to fully fund this project within 31 hours of its launch. That’s impressive, if you ask me, and I assumed that you would.
Now, don’t worry. There’s still room for you!
