It wasn’t long after diving into Instagram that I wanted to view my feed in my browser.
Sadly, I could not.
Viewing photos, making comments — it would all be pretty cool if I could keep Instagram in it’s own tab during my desktop time.
Well, now I can!
This past February, smartphone market penetration in the United States was almost 50%.
The year before (February 2011), smartphones comprised only 36% of the market!
If this rate of growth continues, smartphone penetration will reach over 70% by next year!

If you are a parent of a teen or work with them in any capacity, you know how attached they are to their cell phones. They are constantly checking their text messages or the time. If they have a smart phone, they are probably also surfing the Net, updating their Facebook status, or playing the latest game of Angry Birds.
A recent study from The Hartman Group looked at this attachment at this important family social setting, the dinning room table.

You may recall, recently, about the Lord of the Rings Project.
Emil Johansson, a part-time professional photographer and student in Chemical Engineering, compiled the Lord of the Rings family tree of all the Tolkien creatures and characters and made it available via an interactive online map.
It was nothing short of EPIC.
Now, Emil has made the Lord of the Rings Project available via an Android App and we’re giving away 3 free copies!
Finally…
I believe that we can say with a high degree of certainty that the insanely popular image sharing application known as Instagram may not be an iOS-exclusive much longer. (Yes, I know it has been on its way to Android for a very, very long time, but still).
While chatting with TechCrunch, Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom all but showed off a version of the app for Android, while pointing out that he felt it might be “better” than the iOS port.
Personally (and please don’t stone me here), while Instagram does intrigue me, most of its allure has eluded me. Still, I am happy more people (self included) will have access to the application.
27 million registered users cannot all be wrong, can they?
