The Lord of the Rings Project is EPIC!
Emil Johansson is a part-time professional photographer and student in Chemical Engineering. Since having his imagination captured by the Lord of the Rings when he was eleven, Emil decided to complete a family tree of all the Tolkien creatures and characters.
Emil says,
Now, six years later I have finally gathered the knowledge to do what I have always wanted to do: put the family tree on the web. In November last year I started on the quest and I have to admit, it has taken me longer than I expected. As of this moment, 646 characters have been included.
This project isn’t for the faint of heart.
The press officer at the Tolkien Society and administrator of Tolkien Gateway, Shaun Gunner, has help by proof-reading and will advise on future updates. You can even report errors, although I doubt you’ll find one.
What an amazing undertaking and awesome website for anyone who loves the Lord of the Rings!
Give the Lord of the Rings Project a visit, I’m sure you’ll be as impressed as I was.

Wow, that was an epic waste of productivity. Unless he can make a buck or two. 😉
