Many of us are very familiar with Michael Hyatt, a good friend of mine and an advisor on SoChurch, who’s been doing a fantastic job of managing his online properties and mixing personal and business practice in terms of social media.
He even coaches and teaches others on it too!
Here’s a video clip from Michael at a recent conference where he explains that Twitter:
… is maybe the greatest leadership tool ever invented.
Check it out after the jump:

Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
Let those words sink in and surf on over to http://www.hybridhondas.com. Well you’re there please click on a link or two. It costs nothing and by doing so you’ll be helping a fellow brother so he can continue helping others. By the way. This is really helping.
Please spread the word to other brothers and sisters and be blessed.

Would love to sit and listen to the whole workshop, I just don’t view Twitter as anything except a bunch of soccer moms one upping one another on where they took the kids today.
I am ready to be enlightened though on its use.

Hey Matthew.
I hear a lot of people say that, and it’s understandable based on much of the trash that is out there. It all depends who you are listening to. Imagine being on a plane and being able to overhear every conversation. You would hear lots of trivial chatter, arguments, name calling, self-aggrandizing, and the like. However, you would also hear business being done, children being parented well, and perhaps even the gospel being presented.
Twitter is the same way. There is all kinds of stuff out there. You can use it to feed an addiction or to waste time. But you can also use it to build relationships and learn from others.
Pick some people worth following and see what they are saying. Look at the people that they follow and see if there are people worth adding.
Like any worthwhile conversation, doing Twitter well is not a passive activity.

Here’s the thing that has blown me away recently about twitter. There is NO REASON for some of the folks who I have sent a tweet towards to respond to me. I’ve had 5 well known folks direct message me back that honestly, didn’t have to. It was encouraging to me and gave me an even higher impression of them than I had.

He is the champion of twitter and google buzz. He does a great job of sharing great resources, which is what twitter is about sometimes.
