When it comes to setting up a sandbox or prototyping a page for an upcoming project, a large majority of the time is spent just getting the basic styles, scripts, and markup in place.
jQuewy attempts to solve that problem by making it as easy as possible to load up dependent JavaScript libraries.
To get started, you include the jQuewy library in the head element of your page and then specify the libraries you wish to include.
For example:
[cc lang=”javascript”]
$j([“jQuery”, “ui”, “tools”]); // loads up jQuery, jQuery UI, and Tools
[/cc]
It also supports callbacks once all of the libraries have been loaded:
[cc lang=”javascript”]
$j([“jQuery”, “ui”, “tools”], function() {
alert(‘Libraries loaded!’);
});
[/cc]
jQuewy also supports the ability to include your own scripts permitting you specify their location.
For rapid prototyping, this is a good alternative from grabbing the paths to each your required libraries from their respective sites.
You can see a walk-through video and download the project on the jQuewy website and grab a copy of the code on GitHub.
