I create Vlogs and video game Let’s Plays on YouTube. I love the medium of a video because you can tell so much in such a short amount of time.
But it is not easy.
It’s hard enough just coming up with the ideas, having the right tone and stage presence for it, and continuing to turn out content. One thing you probably won’t think about though is how much editing, disk space, and time it takes to create the final video.

I try to avoid checking out all the latest tech products (especially Smartphones) as I find it encourages a consumerist mindset in myself. However, I do find MKBHD‘s smartphones to be useful in helping me make an informed purchasing decision. That’s why I found myself watching his recent OnePlus 6 review where he dropped a truth bomb that I believe has a lot of value for church tech. Take a look [watch until 1:30 or so]

If you are reading this blog, chances are higher than normal that you are the IT person for your family, friends, work, ministry, or church. Also high are the odds that you have built your own computer. If these are you, you know the difficulty that can come in building your own as you put together specs, find the best deals, and then the labor of love that is assembling.
Imagine if you did this for someone else that did not know what they wanted. Give them the best, make it cheap, who cares about hard drive space, though I definitely want to store all my music locally. Eye twitching a little yet?
