For some, the Windows operating system is a complete piece of junk that cannot hold a light to the community driven Ubuntu open source OS or the elegant and protected Apple OS. For others, Windows has always and will always be the premiere platform where new and cutting edge software is developed behind a robust .NET platform.
I personally find myself somewhere in the middle. I am an Apple guy through and through, yet my first several years of writing software and delving into APIs and frameworks were with Microsoft.
The pastor of our church who has served our congregation faithfully for twenty-two years resigned this past week to take a job with our denomination’s State office. While we know that he’ll do a great job in his new position, our church is understandably in a slight state of mourning. Mourning and transition.
See, in our denomination, when a pastor leaves, there’s a whole process that we have to go through before we can select a new pastor, whether through and inside or outside hire. Thus, we are trapped in an indefinite period of transition.
When your church enters into a period of transition—whether for good or not so good reasons—there are a few things that tech’s can do to make these times of uncertainty easier.

People are always coming up with new ways to control technology. From the basics like a solo keyboard or with a mouse, to Microsoft’s XBox Kinect with voice and motion control, to Apple’s iPhone and iPad finger controls, we have many different ways to interact.
A new product that has come out, called Leap, offers a brand new way to interact.
