For some, the Windows operating system is a complete piece of junk that cannot hold a light to the community driven Ubuntu open source OS or the elegant and protected Apple OS. For others, Windows has always and will always be the premiere platform where new and cutting edge software is developed behind a robust .NET platform.
I personally find myself somewhere in the middle. I am an Apple guy through and through, yet my first several years of writing software and delving into APIs and frameworks were with Microsoft.
So the release of the newest Windows OS, Windows 8, that is suppose to feature some revolutionary desktop computing is quite exciting and yet sad. (I do not have the cash to frivolously by a second OS) Even still, for those of us left out, the blogosphere and marketing campaigns can give us a taste of what is to come.

Windows 8 is great in theory. They have a lot of good changes. It’s good on paper and in an infographic. But then you go to actually use it….that’s what people are complaining about. If you haven’t used it, you don’t know why anyone would hate it. It’s the people who’ve tried it out themselves that dislike it the most.

Have you been able to try it out yet?
