I remember more than a few years back when USB Flash Drives were all the rage and you’d get new ones every single week. And then came the Holidays where you’d get another 10 or so.
I’m not so sure that USB Keys are “cool” presents anymore except if you get something from Mimobot perhaps – they’ve got some really cool ones that might fit the geek in your life perfectly.
But please don’t buy me any because I have way too many already.

Ready? Here are the steps:
- Download the files here.
- Install to invisible folder called ‘usr’.
- Make it appear by typing in Terminal: open -a Finder /usr/
- Copy files from folder ‘mime’ into ‘share/cups/mime/’ and ‘urftopdf’ into ‘libexec/cups/filter/’
- Should look like this:
/usr/libexec/cups/filter/urftopdf
/usr/share/cups/mime/apple.convs
/usr/share/cups/mime/apple.types - Remove your printer from the printing preferences.
- Reboot
- Add your printer again and activate printer sharing.
Done.

Apparently a recent study in Europe has found that local WiFi is hurting the trees and making them sick:
