I’m already sold on Google Chrome, it really is an exceptional browser. But this video isn’t about technology so much as it is about building perception.
Chrome has a brilliant feature-set that’s growing with each release. They have a wealth of material to build a video around. But instead of covering 10 or 20 or 100 legitimate reasons why you should try Chrome, they narrowed in on a single reason. Then they built the video around that one thing.

Then, they decided to have fun with it. Sometimes, when crafting a message, it helps to just remove the clutter and have a little fun. I mean, let’s look at what this video is really about. Hardware vs. Software. It’s not even a relevant comparison! But it works.

Granted, John Q. Websurfer probably won’t catch the distinction between page “render-time” and page “load-time”. I concur that is on the dubious side. But then again, like I said, the video is comparing hardware to software. So the comparison is already more about a story than it is about stats.
