Hulu and Netflix are slowing taking over the way I watch television.
No longer do I worry about catching a show when it airs, I simply open my computer and watch when I can. The only issue (and call this an issue of laziness) is when you need to start, stop, fast-forward or change the volume on a show. Usually you have to get up from the couch, mess with your computer and then return to said couch.
Well that was the old way of doing things…
Enter Teevox.
This free app allows you to do all the things your TV remote can do and more. Yes, Teevox can also allow you to participate in live show-based chats with other viewers, see what your friends are watching and earn pink stars (part of Teevox’s reward system) for app behaviors that you can exchange for reputation goodies like a new Teevox title.
I guess this just gives me another reason to be lazy. Download the app free here.
I’m curious, do you watch more on hulu and netflix then on regular television?
Brian Notess says
I absolutely watch more netflix and hulu than regular television.
Of course, that could be because my wife always occupies the TV with watching bad-reality-television.

I totally watch more on Hulu than anything else. I used to have TiVo… then decided to stop paying for it because Hulu is free(ish). So Teevox works with Hulu huh? Neato!
Adam Lehman says
let me describe cable to you in a new way:
you pay a large monthly fee to watch advertisements that are surrounded by snippets of shows.
ditch cable TV and watch online.
