There is a lot of buzz going on with teenagers and their smart phones. From texting and driving to the issues of sexting and not interacting with family, the concern seems to be founded in reason. The question that comes up for us at seventy8Productions is, where are they learning these habits?
The infographic below takes a look at one of the relationships teens have, their parents, and how they use the cell phones too. It does not ask the tougher questions, but we can find that there are similarities between the way the two groups use them that further investigation is definitely needed.
Here are three points that we think are crucial to this:
- Parents find that their children are the key to understanding new technology.
- Teens use their phone more than their parents, including texting, phone calls, and using apps.
- Teens and parents own a lot of apps, but for those that have more than ten they do not use even half of the ones they own.
