Although I just shared how I don’t use HootSuite in my workflow, at least from a desktop perspective, HootSuite for the iPad might be a different story!
Just announced, it hasn’t been released yet but there’s one thing that’s for sure: It’ll be free.
Of course, it’ll also do all of the standard features you’re accustomed too and more:
- Manage Twitter accounts, lists, and search streams
- Update Facebook Profile and Business/Fan Pages
- Check-in and shout via your Foursquare account
- Translate messages to/from 50+ languages
- Schedule messages to send in the future
- Examine Ow.ly click-through stat reports
- Add geo-location coordinates to messages
- Share and store photos and files
- Shorten web addresses with Ow.ly
Check back shortly and they’ll have it for you.
I’m not sure if it’s going to beat the official Twitter app for the iPad but it might be close. On the other hand, it might be too late since Twitter has announced their own metrics and analytics system which was HootSuite’s big value-add.

Looks great, for free I will grab it and possibly through up a review somewhere, but Twitter has a great client for the iPad that I have finally started to love.

The App Store pushed the update to me yesterday that made it a universal binary.
