Daily I’m reminded about how big the internet actually is because I keep running into new websites that I’ve never heard of in my life.
The kicker is when these new sites manage to keep my interest for more than 5 seconds. HearItFirst.com, a content-driven website for musical enthusiasts in the christian space, managed to do just that.
I suppose it’s even more incredible since the site, aesthetically and technically speaking, needs some serious help.
Content is truly king for some, right?
For example, a popup link for their ‘About’ page nearly floored me and they’ve got more than a few design issues too.
Poor Carlos – his bald head is covering that rich text content:
… Anyways, I didn’t mean for this post to be a critique on their web presence directly but apparently it became that as a result of my bent toward website design…
Moving on.
I enjoyed some of the videos and listening to some of their artists; they have a large database of musicians that I scrolled through for a while:
I wonder how “complete” it really is.
So have you found any sites recently that have surprised you, that you didn’t know existed?

i remember when…hearitfirst.com was the place you went to “hear it first.” so much for pioneering, apparently.
