I’m a big fan of teaching.
I teach daily in person and online and I believe Google Helpouts will change online education and live support.
Here are my reasons why:
- Quality Online help is hard to find.
I hear this often when people find my videos on YouTube and they searched and searched for an answer and they are glad I get straight to the point. - Live help is hard to find.
We live in a want it now society. Everyday I receive a text, or Facebook inbox message asking for help with a tech issue. With Google Helpouts I can now have virtual office hours where I can answer questions and give one on one support. - Integration with Google Products.
Google called video chatting “hangouts” and made it cool. Now, I can give a helpout to someone in need. I see they are taking their marketing cues from Apple.

What do you think about Google Helpouts?
Do you think it will be a game changer?
And as of this posting, I am still waiting to be approved by Google.
Patience is a virtue. 🙂
