As we all know the British are awesome, I myself am evidence of that. Their TV shows are pretty neat too.
Therefore, get excited that the BBC iPlayer will soon be available worldwide as a subscription service!
Speaking at the FT Digital Media & Broadcasting Conference in London today, the BBC’s Director General, Mark Thompson confirmed that the video on demand service, which is free to use within the UK, will be available for a charge of “A few dollars a month – less than $10″.
This is pretty exciting for those of you who want to experience the joys of British TV!
Expect to see a launch sometime this year.

James Brooks says
Hrmm….I’m not sure, I pretty much exclusively watch cooking shows! The apprentice UK is always VERY good.

episode 10 “blink” is one of my favorite of all time doctor who episodes (i’m sure you’ve heard this a million times) next to “the empty child” from season one.
James Brooks says
Sorry to say it guys but Dr Who really isn’t my thang!

Ben Miller says
Yes, I happened to catch “Blink” last year on PBS, and after seeing it I decided I needed to see more Doctor Who.
