One thing about that internet is that it’s always making more. New content is generated everyday, and it out paces all the data that is deleted. It’s pretty crazy.
New blogs, new users, new images, everyday. New services, new tools, new apps, everyday.
However, this particular tool, this particular website, really caught my attention.
Maybe it’s the concept. Maybe it’s the simplicity of it. I’m not sure exactly, perhaps it’s both of these things.
It’s called, pen.io.
Providing a screenshot seems almost contrary to the very nature of this inspiring web tool. In a word, it’s “simple”. In many words, it’s “really simple”.
So, then, what do you do with it?
create beautiful text based pages in seconds and share them with the world
If you are looking to publish writings on the web in a simple and easy way, this might be the tool for you. Want to change your background and theme? You can’t. The focus is on the words.
Now that I’ve built this up as some really cool hip way to push your words to the web, let me tell how to add links and pictures.
Sometimes you need a little illustration to go with what your writing (now I’m rethinking the screenshot stunt).
If you want to add an image, just drag and drop it! That’s it. That’s all you do. Here are how you add links and such:
- Create a New Page: “:page”
- Add A YouTube Video: ” :video http://youtube.com/urlofvideo “
- Headings: “:h3 Heading Goes Here ” – Try using different numbers
- Links:”:link The Link Text Goes Here http://thelinkurlgoeshere”
- Images”:image http://urlofimagegoeshere/image.jpg” (you can also try imagesmall, imageright, imageleft)
It’s like the text-based video game of blogging.
They have some more tags under development and plan on releasing more features – all text based.

If you want replies, you start a blog. There are plenty of services for that. This is a tool of a different kind. There’s beauty in its simplicity.
