Kickstarter is the latest online fundraising phenomenon to hit the Internet for small time inventors, programmers, and entrepreneurs to take their ideas and turn them into tangible products. Some big successes from the program have been TikTok, the iPod Nano meets watch product, and Wasteland 2, a video game that has seen moderate market success.
The Christian band Family Force 5 saw the potential to combine their music videos and crazy fan base to not only fund their two latest music videos, but also to supply their “extras” with the highest donors from the kickstart project. They hoped to raise $20,000 on each video and received $28,914 on their Zombie video and $24,338 on their Cray Button video.
Anyone out there daring enough to start a blog, website, eBook, or something else with KickStarter?
