Under no circumstance should you feed the trolls.
If you’ve been on the Internet for any length of time you’ve probably come across a troll and know exactly what I mean. They love to hide in the dark and come out and attack unsuspecting individuals. For some it seems like a game, how many people can they troll, how many discussions can their railroad. Others think they’re on a mission to inform people about some important topic (usually how the other group are plain wrong).
Trolls can be a real issue for Individuals and groups. If you have a personal social media account or run a community service then engaging with trolls badly can lead to you being railroaded and driven off track, at the same time not all trolls are equal and you don’t want to accidentally treat a supporter who has constructive criticism as a troll.
This flowchart may be obvious to some people, but as the old saying goes: “What is common sense to you might be a startling new revelation to someone else.”
