I still remember the first few days playing my Nintendo—or I guess you could call it my Nintendo history.
I had rented the console along with Super Mario Bros. and Rad Racer from the local drug store’s film department. Along with selling cameras and developing film, the Colorado drug store chain also sold and rented 8-bit Nintendo games.
Because the store was closed on Thanksgiving, I timed my rental to end on Thanksgiving, giving me an extra rental day at no extra charge.
I had four days of pure bliss—I was hooked.

Upon returning the Nintendo, my hands, fingers and thumbs were entirely sore.
Much to my delight, I received my first Nintendo for Christmas.
The rest, as they say, is history.
What was your first Nintendo experience like?
