I love beautiful images, even if they are not concrete representations of a known object. I’ve often used abstracts in graphics programs for worship, simply for the texture, the color, the richness, or emotive feel.
There’s a young photographer who has developed a technique that I’ve not tried, nor have I heard of it.
The results fascinate.
Can you guess what this is?
How about this one?
And this?
These?
Aren’t they wonderful?
(Those last two are my personal favorites. So far.)
Any Guesses?
These are fireworks.
David Johnson of Davey J Photography took them using a long exposure, and changing the focus as the fireworks spent themselves. I can’t wait to try it. Go ahead. Click that link. You’ll find lots more.
Why did I post this? Because it’s exciting. Because one idea can spark dozens of others. Because the reservoir of creative genius bestowed in each of us by the Creator Himself is deep and unending. This is one of the key indicators of God’s Image in us, which shows forth abundantly even though His image has been badly smeared.
Go thou and create.
