I’m a driver. I put my head down and go. A typical church planter.
Ready. Fire. Aim.
I have big vision, aggressive tactics and goals.
The reality of things that involve creativity and craftsmanship is that they get delayed.
That’s where we have been the last two weeks. Due to mostly things outside of our control we have had to delay the roll out of our new site by a couple weeks. No big deal and it’s always good to get it right the first time. I was really hoping to give you a tour of the back end of our new site this week…fingers crossed for next week.
So let’s talk delay.
I can say that the biggest roadblock to getting web projects moving is content development, even with the most function heavy sites, the roadblock always seems to be content in my experience. Waiting on content to be written, photos to be taken and video to be edited almost takes up as much time as getting the site to work in IE.
So what slows your creative and technical teams down and how do you plan for/around it?

Graham Brenna says
It takes a team to get things done. Everyone on the team has to pull their own weight and meet the deadlines. When one person falls behind, the whole project suffers.
