Chrome is becoming more and more of an attractive browser for pretty much all your needs as it continues to mature and grow in adoption.
But some of the reasons why it is becoming more awesome is simply the level of security improvements that are coming down the pipe all the time, the newest one being “sandboxing” the Flash Player for better management and code control.
If you’re not sure what “sandboxing” is it’s simply isolating code that could be maliciously used to enable you to browse more safely. Chrome has already done this with Javascript and HTML rendering.
It’s only available for Windows users right now but it’ll be made avail to the OSX soon enough.
Do you use Chrome primarily? Why or why not?

I can’t use it as it literally shuts down my PC at work if I leave it open for too long. It grabs way too much memory for some reason. On my Mac at home I use firefox because I am used to the tools and the speed bump is not really all that big for me there either.
I do support web standards so safari, firefox and chrome is a necessity. No more IE period. I honestly haven’t opened IE In over 5 years if not more. For development I use other avenues that trick things to open as IE.

I use it almost exclusively. For the reasons you mention as well as the speed and visual simplicity. I tend to be a minimalist visually and functionally so Chrome fits the bill for me.
IMO, a browser is a good browser when you forget it’s there.

I tend to favor Chrome almost exclusively for browsing (although I’ve been trying out RockMelt this past week and I’m pretty pleased with it), simply because it uses less resources than Firefox. My pc at home is around 10 yrs old, and FF usually slows things to a crawl and just plain hangs there– let’s not even talk about the mac. I get none of that with Chrome.
No, when I’m designing or coding a site, I usually stick with Firefox and its various plugins (Firebug, et al.).

Interesting, Chrome on my PC here at work almost doubles the memory footprint that Firefox does. At home I don’t really care about speed as I code at home for the most part with the tools I am used to in Firefox.

I use Chrome as my primary browser because it’s easy to use with a laptop, fits the screen nicely. The extensions, bookmarks, and tab pull out to a new window are useful. It’s not complex and cluttered like some browsers and it’s really good. It’s also fast.

This is great. One of my fav Chrome extensions on my PC at work is FlashBlock. It seems to stop 99.99% of hang-ups and crashes. That sort of thing just makes me trust Flash less and less.

I tried it for a week.
