[Editor: We first heard about Drive Safely last year but James hear has a personal review.]
I am sure that it is not just me who is tempted to read new texts and emails whilst I am driving in the car.
Increasingly we are people who want to be able to keep up to date on everything that is going on. If we are on a longer car journey then it can be frustrating to not be able to check our texts and emails without risking our lives by not concentrating fully on the road!

Enter DriveSafe.ly, an Android app that is specifically designed for people who want to stay up to date on their latest text messages and emails whilst driving. DriveSafe.ly will read out to you any new text messages or emails that you receive whilst you are driving, and can even deliver the sender an auto-response to let them know you are driving right now!
I’m not 100% sure that the free version is particularly worth having as it will only read out 25 words to you, however at $13.95 per year for the premium version I think that this application is great for anyone who spends time on the road and needs to keep track of their email.
As for the software itself, I would say that it is very slick and well put together with a number of options so that you can tailor your experience to your specific needs.
It’s available in the Android marketplace right now, let me know in the comments what you think!
