As I was catching up on reading blog posts the other day, I saw the post on here by Phil Schneider entitled, “Dead President in Living Color“. If you love photography and politics, you have to read his post. It highlights Time Magazine’s recent publication of pictures of President Abraham Lincoln that have been professionally recolored.
This reminded me of the project Branding the Presidents that I had seen awhile back. It’s a design studies project that came to life on Tumblr and has recently been receiving acclaim. I promise, it will take your breath away.
Below are a few of my favorites from the project.
The designer and project creator, which I could only identify as Megjannott, wrote this about the site:
I wanted to do something different and eventually came up with branding the Presidents of the United States. With each one being unique, I thought that this might yield some interesting results.
44 Presidents = 44 designs.
I know they’re not all successful, but again, this was just intended to be a personal project to have fun with. Sometimes failures are all just a part of the process. Thank you to everyone who has taken an interest and the kind words! 🙂
Although the project is not finished, you can keep up on the progress and join in the reblogging frenzy via brandingtheuspresidents.tumblr.com.

I’m always partial to JFK. I also like Teddy’s swag. Solid find

Yeah, those are classic. Like they say, “Once you go Teddy, you never go back”.
