I have soft spot in my heart for Murdoch and his team over at News Corp since I once worked for him and his Fox organization. I also have a soft spot for Beliefnet.com, which I managed their product and social media efforts as their Executive Product Director.
So when I heard that they were sold I was definitely interested in learning more of the details.
Apparently 50% of the current employees will lose their jobs as the sale finalizes to a Norfolk, VA. investment firm, BN Media, LLC.
That is not the best of news, is it?
I hope for the very best in this new move and I’m sorry to see Murdoch and his org lose a significant spiritual outpost on the web. It just didn’t make enough money for him I suppose.
On to bigger and better things.

It’s pretty crazy how much of christianity he “owns” with just zondervan alone!

It is some time since I joined Belief Net. Last year I tried to log in but I used the wrong password. At that time I was using at least four different passwords for various websites so I tried these and was locked out. I tried again today to log in and clicked on ‘did you forget your password?’ but it wouldn’t recognize my email address.
I then tried to sign in afresh instead of logging in but it wouldn’t recognize my post code because it didn’t have an X in it. I live in the United Kingdom.
I had a change of password about three or was it four years ago when an inexperienced computerengineer locked me out of my email and I had then to get a new email address.
