For those that do not know, my job within Youth for Christ for the past decade has been a full-time missionary. Whether I was a youth worker for teenagers in Ohio, serving military teenagers at the Air Force Academy, or now doing my job within the National Service Center as their Social Media Specialist, I fundraise my full support and have to do fundraisers at an individual and corporate level for my salary and health insurance. How to Create A Great Google+ Community
I love the idea of collaboration with others to empower people to do something amazing, serve a church, and share the Gospel with a community. So the concept of Google+ Communities is a natural fit for me and the community I created with Church Tech has become a flourishing group of people who post an average 10 posts a week asking questions, supporting each other, and sharing something amazing that is happening in their world.
We want to help you create a great community for those that make their own Google+ Community.
Here’s how:
One Church Hashtag To Rule Them All?
If you have worked with a church or ministry and their social media campaign in any capacity, you have to think about using hashtags for your ministry. A hashtag is a necessary component of any ministry’s social media strategy that can improve conversations and help you capture what is happening within your congregation.
The question is, does your church stay united and push for one hashtag that every church leader should use or one specific hashtag for each ministry in your church that is made specifically for that program? Do you have a church hashtag?
Now, every church is different and so we are not going to say that one is right and one is wrong, but we will share with you who should be using which one. If it fits your church, go for it.
Being Effective with Adwords
Adwords for the Internet is one of the best ways to reach a market of people through social media or search engines to an audience that may know about your brand but have not connected online or to a whole audience that do not know they are your future followers. While the concept is simple enough, we want to offer you some tips for making the most of your keywords, language, and landing pages that will maximize your output from the online advertisements you buy.

So when a company (say a church book distributor) sells their product to another company (the local family bookstore), you have a B2B relationship and content marketing. This is actually extremely important for churches as they are the intersection between B2B and B2C interactions with their congregations or bloggers as they interact with advertisers, hosting companies, social networks, and where they outsource their material from.
To make the most of these relationships, you need to better understand the B2B market. Here is a 2013 update:
The Rise of the Social Media Professional [Infographic]
The idea of a person having a full-time paid job as a social media person for an organization seems almost crazy. You pay a person a salary to spend 40 hours a week on Facebook and Twitter? Really?
This job did not even exist 5 years ago.
I am writing this article from the position that I currently hold a full-time position as a social media specialist for a Christian organization, so I can officially speak from a social media professional point of view.
