One of the greatest joys about ministry is when we can capture those little moments of a service project, a vacation Bible school, a mission’s trip, the fall festival, a special worship experience, a sermon illustration, or small groups on photographs and video. There is nothing more compelling to tell the story of your church’s history than a few well snapped photos or a great video to share the experience. If your ministry is doing it right, you will capitalize on this and use it for great marketing. The question is, do you have the right to use these photographs.
App of the Week: Google Drive
This is the twenty-fifth article in the series App of the Week series.
The tech universe has many different file sharing clients and so the need for differentiation, quality of service, and uptime have to be present for an iOS app to even be worth considering. Google nearly by default has all three of those characteristics and so naturally we needed to review the Google Drive application. In comparison to the Dropbox app, I actually prefer this app for documents, but Dropbox for images. Check out why after the jump.
Apple vs. Android
One of the biggest technology debates going on this year is the discussion on if Apple or Android is better. The conversation is not new by any means, but with the poliferation of Android phones that have flooded the market, the latest phones that rival the iPhone in tech specs, the Apple iOS becoming very limiting, and the Google Play store catching up to the App Store, the decision has never been more difficult to answer. Below is a thorough discussion on my rationale up to this point without a decision one way or another.

The Importance of Responsive Websites [Infographic]
Mobile computing is here to stay and if you are not prepared, you may be going the way of the dinosaur. The problem with most organizations, churches hugely included, is they build website free of mobile devices, leaving them only viewable form a desktop. What this means is that the experience on a mobile device is designed specifically for the small screen and different than a desktop or iPad device. This intentional investment can lead to significant returns on investment, as you will see below.
