It’s that time again…!
You now have 2 options when asking the 8BIT Team a question:
- You can either ask a question and get a response via the comment section below.
- Or, you can ask a question and request it be answered via rich media (audio, video, etc). You can even ask a specific member of the team, if you’d like.
It’s been fun answering your questions via the 8BIT Podcast! Keep them coming, keep them coming and if we don’t get to your question, don’t hesitate to ask again.
Dewitt says
Many ministries struggle with creating a strategic plan for their web-based services. Has the 8bit team given any consideration to creating a training institute that helps small and medium size congregations create this plan? Or a specialized ministry certification for churches that’s renewed annually based on best practices?
It could be called 8bit U!

I like your thinking on this. A certification process seems kinda heavy. Wondering if a How To article would suffice for most churches?

cool, I am reading 50 ways to make Google Love your Website
I cycle between technical, fictional and Christian books – kudos to the 8bit team for that strategy I have adopted (I think someone did mention it, either way it keeps my interest fresh and my mind screaming for more)
John says
Will you be stylin’ in the TRON sneakers from Adidas when they are released in December?

Do you have a list (or willing to start one) of open source apps that are relevant to churches/ministries?
John Saddington says
that sounds awesome…! wanna help curate?
Dave says
So… we are a new small church plant with no significant financial partners yet. We have a great wide talent base, but no graphic designers/visual artists… we’d love a logo/branding to visually promote our burgeoning existence … are their great cheap ways to remedy this ??
Also, how will I know if you answer this?? 🙂
John Saddington says
Dave, we’re answering this on our podcast. 🙂
Jeff Jackson Jr. says
I would love to get a piece of the information about this too. I’m a young media specialist who is currently in school to finish my degree in digital media communications who is also a staff member at a church plant. We have a logo and website that need to be revamped in preparation for our launch as a church in September.
Kylan says
I’m working on a Ruby on Rails website for my church. What sorts of things should I consider as I look at hosting options? What’s the best hosting provider for a small RoR implementation?
Tom says
We’ll have this answered in the podcast!
Jeff Jackson Jr. says
I’m currently in the process of starting up our social media outreach team for our church plant that is launching as a church in September. We are utilizing Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo/YouTube, and have a church website that is built in WordPress (that is in need of desperate repair as well). What are some tips and tricks to starting and maintaining a team of people and suggesting what they post? We are currently building a Facebook page with a custom welcome tab that can and will be used for this outreach and we have a plus account on Vimeo.
