- Volunteer at church.
- Provide clean drinking water.
- Teach Sunday School.
- Support a Compassion child.
- Pole dance.

I saw this yesterday and I still don’t know quite what to say

So, I’m not the only one who is speechless.

What does she do the rest of the week with her studio? Does she train strippers? More fitness classes? It sounds like she has the best intentions but her execution bothers people (including me). Can anyone else think of a ministry/fitness class/whatever that used to be controversial but is now accepted by christians?

Didn’t yoga used to be a pagan thing? Someone told me that the poses were originally used for idol worship.
Vy says
Also, Christmas used to be a pagan holiday. It’s not impossible to reclaim pagan things for the glory of God. I’m not saying pole dancing is a sport that’s gonna permeate the church sometime in the future, but things like that have happened.

Just sayin’.
Eric Dye says

Now the implementation of the program is equally as important. Making it lady’s only is good, requiring the church bulletin is good. But what’s really important is the community. What kind of supportive conversations happen? What kind of friendships are built?
Yes, almost anything can be done as long as it’s for Jesus… implemented with proper taste, dignity and community.
