I’m all for making “online” easier and more manageable. I know there are a few “purists” out there (heck, I graduated with a lot of them) that try to keep web development out of the hands of so-called tourists, but I’m not that arrogant.
Or, at least I hope I’m not…
I think it is our job as designers/developers and business people to help pave the way for others to do the same instead of keep our secrets locked up to somehow stop competition from growing. This couldn’t be farther from the truth of what actually happens.
In any case, I somehow must have missed out on Adobe’s Business Catalyst platform and I’m pretty intrigued:
BC, as it’s called, is a hosted application for building and managing online businesses. The neat thing is that it doesn’t require back-end coding and you can build websites and even online stores with ease.
Have you played around with it yet? What are your thoughts?
