WordPress 3.0 is about a week old (already) and for many the obvious new features are just enough to make them giggle.
But one feature that’s a bit harder to see has gotten me really excited about the future of WordPress and the implementation of it: Custom Post Types.
If you want a good explanation then Justin Tadlock gives a great overview here. But what if you don’t know how to implement them? Perhaps a plugin will do!
Enter Easy Post Types.
This plugin takes away all the challenges of creating your own custom post types and gives you a nice easy clean plugin that makes this task a couple of clicks away.
You can see the ease of use with this plugin as well as the potential for custom post types.

Awesome! Another ‘Hard to Notice But Awesome Feature of WordPress 3.0’ is adding classes and link relationships to individual custom menu items (hidden in Screen Options). That took me forever to figure out.

Yeah, Custom Post types were one of the first things that caught my developers’ eyes. I can definitely see that some cools stuff will be coming in the not so distant future.

Definitely. I cannot wait to see what all the developers can come up with. I have a few ideas that could make life a lot easier.
