I can hardly believe we’re half-way through September–sheesh!
Time flies when you’re having fun, right?
Now, for a little Saturday Sunday Share …
Here’s what you all shared last week:
- Antoine RJ Wright – has some cool stuff heating up.
- James Cooper – dropped serious linkage!
- Ben Read – put together an awesome calendar.
- Raoul Snyman – showed-off a new website mockup.
- Paul Clifford – writing like crazy!
What do you have for us this week?
Keep being awesome!

Haven’t done much of my own stuff for a few weeks. However that’s because I’ve recently gotten a job! I’m now working in an administration and marketing role for a firm that helps non-profits run effective fundraising and PR campaigns. One of the things I’ve been doing is developing new social media plans and policies for the firm. It has been a bit of a challenge trying to work out the right strategy but I’m enjoying the process.

Cool! With your new experience, you’ll have to write some posts on ChurchMag!

Let’s see…
Last Sunday, I helped my son with a new train track layout, using the latest piece that my mom-in-law sent over from the States[0][1][2].
Then on Tuesday I posted a blog post about writing a business-to-consumer API in a non-braindead way[3]. I wrote this blog post about 6 months after the event I described, but I am still really ticked off about it.
During the week I also started implementing the OpenLP site design for the new forums I’m putting together[4]. I’ve decided to move away from Drupal’s forums (which are OK, but very basic) to dedicated forum software, in this case Vanilla[5].
I also killed a couple more[6] bugs[7] in the lead up to the next release of OpenLP.
And finally, we made use of a special offer to take a trip to Cape Point[8], the tip of Africa[9]. What an awesome day it was[10]… the first real day of summer here: hot, but not too hot, no wind, clear skies. Stunning weather and a stunning outing. [11][12][13][14][15]

That’s a really awesome concept. Brilliant.

Sorry I’m late. This weekend was cra-cra (the first meaning on UrbanDictionary, not the second ;))!
Anyway, set up for the first stop on the “God’s Not Dead Tour” and said hi to Michael Tate. Met with someone on a project for a startup. I continue to write. I’m about 1/2 done with the rough draft (or will be this week). Read it at http://trinitydigitamedia.com/other-resources/the-serving-church.
What I’m really excited about is that my blog was named one of the top 20 most influential church tech blogs on ChurchM.ag. That makes me really excited.
Financially, it’s still tough, but I have faith that God called me into this and is faithful.
Paul
