7 Sites to Help You Create Amazing Images

The online world is filled with visuals, whether those visuals are image or video, we cannot scroll through social media without seeing more image than text. You don’t have to have a degree in graphic design to create amazing images for your church or organization.  Here are 7 sites that can help you create scroll stopping images.

Canva

Canva – Canva has become one of the go-to sites for individuals that are not graphic designers, and maybe a few that are. There are many different templates that make it easy to create a stunning image. Canva also has pre-set size templates for all things social media: cover photos, social media posts, advertisements, logos, etc. Canva is free or you can upgrade to premium with added benefits of team sharing, etc. There are also discounts for non-profits.

Adobe Spark

Adobe Spark – Adobe Spark is a free online and mobile design app. If there was a rival for Canva this would be it. Adobe Spark is template driven, or you can create your own design. They go one step farther than Canva by giving the option to easily create videos, images and web pages that stand out.

PicMonkey

PicMonkey – PicMonkey has, “everything you need to make your ideas come to life.” They offer photo editing, collage making, graphic design, etc. They offer templates or custom design. They also have a great blog and tutorials that help you create the best image possible. It is free initially with the option to go premium.

BeFunky

BeFunky – Their goal is to, “provide tools that are easy enough anyone can create beautiful photographs and professional-quality graphic design without any special skills or technical expertise.” BeFunky offers a photo editor, graphic design and collage maker. The side offers templates or you can create your own.

Pablo

Pablo – Pablo is created by Buffer. There is no need to login or even create an account. You can use Pablo immediately to quickly create great images from templates or create your own. Just head to Pablo and give it a try!

PlaceIt

PlaceIt – PlaceIt is pretty sweet. You can use PlaceIt to create images that feature your home page, blog, app or service. You can do this for digital, video and print type items. Simply choose a background from their library, upload a screenshot or input a URL to grab so the image can be inserted into one of their templates. You can subscribe or choose a one-time purchase.

Fotor

Fotor – Fotor’s goal is to help you create great images. The site is, “designed with over 19 preset sizes of templates, ranging from social media covers, posts, cards, banner ads, posters and more.” The site is free, or you can upgrade and have ads removed from the site.

These are not the only image creating sites, what are some you have found? Let me know!

I love Canva (pretty quick but still a lot of customisation) and placeit is very useful too. I had never heard of Fotor though, I’ll give it a look. Have you heard of Stencil (get stencil is the site) they are similar to Canva but it’s a chrome extension so you can highlight some text in a post, turn it into a quote graphic and then add it to buffer AND share a link to the page. The cusotmisation is a bit simpler than Canva but you can still make great images.

I will have to check out sketch. Love the idea of a chrome extension. That’s pretty sweet.

    Useful list here Meghan!

I’ve used Canva and Spark only, good to know there are other options to try out!

Designfeed.io is still technically in beta, but I use it more than Canva, specifically for Social media posts like Bible verses, annoucements and quotes.
