Maybe the greatest part of Facebook for many people is the use of custom pages. We have the ability to format the HTML however we want and create a great display for our viewers to present whatever we want to post. Want to pull up the five latest blog posts or Twitter updates on your Facebook’s custom page? Done. Want to have YouTube videos to show off your ministry? Easy. While you cannot run server side programming code, the versatility of HTML really makes it possible to do whatever you want.
#3 Custom Pages
Some of the best examples of using custom pages that we have found do not come from churches, but from businesses and organizations. It is unfortunate, but a reality right now, though we are hopeful for what the future could bring. (Friday we will be sharing how to make your own custom page, churches use it!) One of the fun and simple ways Simply Youth Ministry is using their custom pages is to draw attention to all of the blogs that have updated recently. It brings light to more than just their products, they want the viewers to find great resources online for free and we love that!
At the same time, you do have the power to feature things that you do well, be it video announcements for youth group or sermon notes from last week’s church service. Youth Ministry Media shows off their eBook that you can download for free for all of their Facebook fans!
With this powerful part of Facebook, what ideas do you have for it for your ministry?

That’s really cool but how do you do it

I love that you asked that and if you look at the last post in this series, we actually do a video tutorial for you. It isn’t comprehensive, but definitely a starting point for the new person to Facebook custom pages!
