Time is money for pretty much every business, and for just about the same amount of ministries money is hard to find (or in short supply).
There is truly more work for us to do that will ever get done but that doesn’t mean we have an excuse to be unproductive!
Here are 4 file sharing mobile apps that’ll keep you (and your team) productive!
Air Sharing
Air Sharing grants you the ability to mount your iPhone or iPod Touch as a wireless drive on your desktop computer.
It’s Mac, Windows, and Linux compatible!
You can connect over WiFi or via the web browser.
Drag and drop files, view documents in most formats, and use Bonjour and WebDAV for easy setup and connection.
It’s simple, easy, and has a very familiar interface.
Beware, it’ll cost you a few coin.
Check it out if you’re interested!
QuickOffice Connect
This one is a godsend for those that love Microsoft!
QuickOffice Connect is here!
It’s one of the first apps that is a full-featured Microsoft Office productivy app for the iPhone.
Integrates with MobileMe, DropBox, Google Docs, and Box.net.
Convenient access is available and you can sync across multiple devices.
You can even create new Office documents!
Includes an advanced notepad editor as well.
Unfortunately (of course), this is a paid app.
But, for many people who are Office Doc users, this is it!
Try it out.
Readdle Docs
This is a complete document and file management solution (or so they say).
It’s compatible with Mac, Windows, Linux!
All files are saved to your device and you can enjoy reading them later.
It essentially “captures” or “catches” documents from many different sources.
Transfer files to your iPhone without WiFi, and it even reads most office documents.
I would have to say that this is one of the prettier apps compared to the other 3 listed here, and if that’s a big deal then check it out.
Unfortunately this is also not a free app, so expect to pay a little green dollar (or two) to get it.
Sad, but true…!
Files App
Files App is pretty simple and straight-forward.
You can store and view docs on both your iPod Touch and iPhone.
Transfer them to a Mac and/or a Windows machine.
A WiFi connection is really the only thing that you need! Read documents anywhere and do what you like.
It’s also a paid app!
I’d say that one of the best things is the PDF reader.
So, am I missing any that you use?
What do you use?
Are you a “productivity” guru?
Let’s hear it!

Document/File management is going to be the big next challenge for mobile devices, I think. It’s one area that non-apple companies can really compete in (since Apple is blowing them up everywhere else). Eventually it’ll be as easy as a desktop file system…
Is air sharing as simple as a USB?
Justin Piercy says
It’s WiFi:) A bit slower, but no wires = cool
Justin Piercy says
Awesome. Really love that you guys place importance on posting about the newest/best resources out there.
Going to be trying these out for sure. Thanks so much!

Just went to the QuickOffice site. There is not an app called QuickOffice Files, but there is QuickOffice CONNECT and it is FREE. Looks like you can access your files, view your files but not edit them. Installing it right now to try it out. If you end up needing the suite it is only 9.99, not too shabby for what it allows you to do.

Ah, it was the quick office connect mobile suite, which is 9.99.
Ken Summerall says
Wow. That was fast!
The connect part just allows you to access, view, and share, no editing, but it’s free. The Connect Suite adds editing for 9.99! If you need to edit MS Office docs that’s not a bad price!

Airsharing at the moment. Its pretty awesome because i got it like the day it was released so i got it for Free! 🙂

Been doing some experimenting with AirSharing. Got the Pro version, and with it you can not only use your Phone as a mountable WiFi hard drive, but you can also print directly from your phone (HUGE!), email your files, and zip as well as unzip files.
Awesome app, well worth the 10 bucks. Great find John!
