Is your church, ministry, or nonprofit organization’s website fully responsive and mobile friendly?
Just a few years ago, this was being hammered over and over again. The importance of staying on top of our tech is important, but the funny thing about technology, is that it keeps, moving, forward.
So what are the design trends this year? What do we need to consider as we survey websites for tweaks and changes – or possibly a complete and total rebuild?
This infographic on 2017’s web design and UX trends for conversions is sure to help:
Of course engagement and conversion is going to look a little different for a church or ministry, but the basic core concepts, still remain.
- Imagine your church site being age-responsive?
- Have you considered skeleton screens?
- Animated Call-to-Action buttons? Easy.
- Engagement bots? Whoa.
I particularly found the hero image, persuader videos, and value based overlays to be very interesting concepts for the church website space as well. And can you imagine mixing these up? Like having a youth event overlay when someone who meets the age demographic pops up? Yeah. That would be amazing.
Do I Need to Make These Changes Today?
Whether or not you can start making these changes today isn’t the point per se (even though implementing some of these would be amazing). The point is that we still need to push forward, think ahead, and do our best to stay on the technology wave. We don’t always need to be the cutting edge, but we must do our best to stay relevant and reach the next generation.
