Well, alright, battery shaped salt and pepper shakers aren’t very clever. The only reason they made the cut is because they’re very 8BIT, and since everything 8BIT is clever, these salt and pepper shakers had to be included!
Here are 15 more clever inventions (none of which have anything to do with 8BIT):
James is searching throughout cyberspace looking for this brilliant invention. I think some of the best inventions or intuitive. What better place to put your tea bag!

By a raise of hands, how many feel “key-challenged”?
Oh.
Well, maybe I’m just asking the wrong group of people. I like the concept, here. Great for the blind, elderly, and handicapped. I’m not sure how it would hold-up under heavy weather conditions, being the water would funnel in.

This has “fun” written all over it! My kids would love! (I would love it.) I would be interested in seeing it put into a more traditional environment. I can’t see anyone wanting to place their 50inch LCD TV on the floor, do you? Great for a kids room? Yes.

This is straight-up novelty. Bar tenders have been manually tilting cups for centuries.

Like the wheel and mousetraps, pizza cutters don’t need to be reinvented. This is great for impulse shopping and TV shopping networks.

How do you completely remove fun from dunking Oreos? Buy these. These will end up in the “junk drawer” for sure.

Let me tell you, I don’t even know what this is even for. Maybe it’s because I’m not a ragging tea drinker. We need a little help here, James.

I’m all about function and usability when it comes to inventions. This doesn’t meet any of those. It’s plain and simple fun!

This could be really handy or really gross. At a glance it’s great. In fact, it would be really helpful if you’re at the mall with your baby, alone. However, at the same time, it’s like wiping your kid on a gross public restroom stall, and then placing the same cloth that you wiped the stall wall with and draping it on to yourself. Eww.

At the beach, at the park, I love this. Just after it rains, or just after someone with a wet bathing suit sat down.

If you’re trying to maintain your figure or find a new one, this the belt for you! What a great daily reminder of your progress! John, you need this belt.

My family lives in a small place, so I can tell you that this would be great to have!

You might want to consider using a liquid resistant keyboard with this invention. It looks like a major spill waiting to happen!

After seeing this, it makes you wonder why all USB’s aren’t designed this way.

I think the best things to ask yourself when designing an invention is:
- Is it usable?
- Is it intuitive?
- Does it make it easier?
What else do you think should be considered?

For the USB one, the main reason USB cables aren’t designed like that is because for anything more than flash drives, there would be too much strain on the port. USB ports just aren’t designed to handle very much juice flowing through them.
