I love the youth ministry icebreaker game “Would you rather” that compares two extreme ideas that normally you would choose neither or both. Sometimes the ideas would not be fun to do and other times they would just be weird or gross. You can actually play an online version at YouRather.com. The best part is you can compare your answer to what other people have said.
Some of my favorites include:
- Would you rather have the ability to teleport or be able to time travel?
- Would you rather have free tickets to the Superbowl for life or get 420,000 to never watch NFL games again?
- Would you rather only sleep 3 hours everyday or have to sleep at least 15 hours everyday?
This game now has some real-life applications. In August, when Anonymous and several other hacking events were on the front page, Harris Interactive did a poll asking if people would rather think of a new password or clean a toilet. 38% of those that answered decided that it would be better to clean a toilet than come up with a new password.
It takes work not only thinking up a password that is not only secure, but memorable. We all have been in that position at some point where we are sending ourselves password changing emails because forgot it and having to go through the whole process again. Then you come across that one password that works great and you never want to let it go.
What about you:
