I’m not sure how long this has been up but apparently Yahoo has struck a deal with Starbucks to have a co-branded landing page the moment you log into any of Starbucks free WiFi hotspots.
Fascinating opportunity and business partnership, not to mention good idea (especially for Yahoo).
It made me think about if this type of engagement could be leveraged at the ministry and church level?
Would that be weird? What if you were kicked off to a co-branded landing page the moment you logged into your church’s free WiFi?
Thoughts?

I’m actually planning and hoping to do just that, I would love to hear how it was recieved if anyone already has.
James Brooks says
I actually think that is an amazingly good idea.
At very least it would be a great way of getting church news and announcements out there!
ESP great for churches with conference facilities.

this is something I have personally looked at for our church .. we are still in the “planning” stages of successfully implementing a WIRELESS campus … would love to learn of vendors used and strategy used to make it a SUCCESS with forward thinking upgrade capabilty ..
also, would love to know of software solutions, possibly open-source, that allows user to logon with unique username and password and can be monitored and features content filtering.
