Last month I got pretty caught up in the game Minecraft.
I downloaded the pocket edition of the game on my iPhone 6 and I fell in love with the game immediately. No wonder kids and adults alike play this game!
Granted, most of the time you are just building or destroying stuff, but, theirs something kind of relaxing about it.
While playing the game, I created a home and a TV station all on two different mountains. It took me a span of 2 weeks. But, hey, I had other responsibilities to tend too.
As I strategically built my properties and open up hills and mountains with giant tunnels I realized how Minecraft could very well help with creating concepts and ideas for building actual buildings.
I know, I know. No duh!
But, if you haven’t thought about it yet, Minecraft could very well serve as a tool for professional development. In some cases, if you Google about such a thing, it is.
All too often we look at video games as a means for entertainment and never for mental exercise and social discussion of life, strategy, purpose and planning.
